Catalog Number: CG-0023
This specimen of Pseudorthoceras was exposed on the outside of a large piece of limestone in a local stream. It was several feet below the local layer, and likely fell into the stream a long time ago. A few swings of a sledge hammer and the 4 foot long stone was in several pieces to bring back.
This particular specimen was aligned nicely on the surface, so I was able to use a rock cutting wheel to closely cut this from the rock. The chambers in the middle measure about 1.5mm in length.
