Catalog Number: CG-0122
I’ve found a large number of Metacoceras locally in Parks Township. Yet I haven’t found one quite like this specimen. Unique to this one, you can see the septal neck openings and the inner whorl channel. I also found a small piece of the next chamber, including the septal openings showing on both sides.
I once found a great example of a septal neck in a Mooreoceras specimen. It separated into individual chambers and it was easy to see.
Originally I had this as CG-0021 but determined that it was an occupied ID. This is now CG-0122.
